Important Topics of Arithmetic

Mathematics of Arithmetic course comes in other government exams like UPSC, SSC, PCS, BANK, and POLICE. These include ratio, percentage, average, profit and loss, time and work, pipe and cistern, SI and CI, time, speed and distance.

TopicBrief
Ratio
A comparison/simplified form of 2 quantities having similar kind is termed as a ratio. To denote ratio, the “:” sign is used.
Percentage
A percentage is a ratio representing a fraction of 100. Usually, denoted by the “%” symbol “%” or “pct.”
AverageAverage refers to the ‘central’ point of a data set.
Profit and Loss
The profit, also called gain, is equal to SP-CP. Where SP is the selling price, and CP is the cost price. Loss is equal to CP-SP.
Time and Work
Depicts the time taken to perform a certain amount of work and vice-versa.
Pipes and Cisterns
The pipes and cisterns topic usually covers two kinds of pipes one is Inlet pipe, and the other is Outlet pipe. The Inlet pipe fills the cistern, and the Outlet pipe empties it.
SI & CI
Simple interest or SI is the method for calculating the interest charged on a specific amount. Compound Interest or CI represents the interest earned on the previous money.

अंकगणित के अंतर्गत कितने टॉपिक्स आते है -

अंकगणितीय पाठ्यक्रम की गणित UPSC, SSC, PCS, BANK, POLICE जैसे और भी सरकारी परीक्षाओं में आती है | जिनमें अनुपात, प्रतिशत, औसत, लाभ और हानि, समय और कार्य, पाइप और सिस्टर्न, एसआई और सीआई, समय, गति और दूरी शामिल हैं।

विषयसंक्षिप्त
अनुपात
समान प्रकार की 2 मात्राओं के तुलना/सरलीकृत रूप को अनुपात कहा जाता है। अनुपात को दर्शाने के लिए ":" चिन्ह का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
प्रतिशत
प्रतिशत एक अनुपात है जो 100 के अंश का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है। आमतौर पर, "%" प्रतीक "%" या "पीसीटी" द्वारा दर्शाया जाता है।
औसतऔसत एक डेटा सेट के 'केंद्रीय' बिंदु को संदर्भित करता है।
लाभ और हानि
लाभ, जिसे लाभ भी कहा जाता है, SP-CP के बराबर होता है। जहां एसपी बिक्री मूल्य है, और सीपी लागत मूल्य है। नुकसान सीपी-एसपी के बराबर है।
कार्य तथा समय 
एक निश्चित मात्रा में काम करने में लगने वाले समय को दर्शाता है और इसके विपरीत।
पाइप और टंकी 
पाइप और सिस्टर्न विषय में आमतौर पर दो प्रकार के पाइप शामिल होते हैं एक इनलेट पाइप है, और दूसरा आउटलेट पाइप है। इनलेट पाइप टंकी को भरता है, और आउटलेट पाइप इसे खाली करता है।
SI & CI
साधारण ब्याज या एसआई एक विशिष्ट राशि पर लगाए गए ब्याज की गणना करने की विधि है। चक्रवृद्धि ब्याज या CI पिछले धन पर अर्जित ब्याज का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है.
